We expect a lot from our drivers, so we require that they complete an extensive screening process including a Clean Qualified CDL verification, at least 2 years prior auto transport experience, meet an internal insurance qualifications check, motor vehicle report, pre and post-employment drug and alcohol testing, a DOT physical, criminal background check, former employer and reference checks, meet a (TWIC) Transportation Worker Identity Card Qualification, and a mandatory road test with management.
We only hire experienced, professional auto transport drivers over 23 years of age, not just truck drivers. That's a big distinction because it takes an enormous amount of skill and attention to detail to transport automobiles safely and without damage. That's also why we require our drivers to load and unload their own trucks, and to be personally responsible for any damages. This keeps them focused. We operate the biggest trucks allowed on the road by law, and we demand that our drivers also understand how to do it right.
